IDSA Gold IDEA award for the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal gas and charcoal barbeques

The Everdure by Heston Blumenthal barbeques designed by D+I have been internationally acknowledged yet again, with the charcoal and gas range taking our Gold at the 2017 Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) — one of the world’s most prestigious and rigorous design competitions.

The 25 Gold and 52 Silver award winners were revealed at the 2017 IDEA Ceremony and Gala on August 19 in Atlanta, Georgia.

“I hope you’re as excited as we are by the future of design excellence on display,” declared IDSA IDEA 2017 Jury Chair Owen Foster, at the red carpet event. Foster led more than two dozen global design experts in judging categories covering products, experiences, strategies and more.

IDEA 2017 attracted hundreds of entries from 54 countries on six continents. "We had representation from all over the world,” said IDSA Board of Directors Chair Emeritus John Barratt, FIDSA, president and CEO of TEAGUE. "The level of competition is extreme. It’s an incredible achievement to win.”

This award completes a clean sweep of the worlds most prestigious design awards for the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal range, with the barbeques having already collected the Red Dot: Best of the Best, iF Design and Good Design Australia awards in 2017.
