World-leading energy management company Schneider Electric came to D+I with a concept for their next generation electrical accessories platform — the Clipsal Iconic™. Iconic is a range of electrical accessories with a slim, sleek design that can be easily customised and provides a foundation for future technology to be built on.

 D+I was responsible for the co-development of the system architecture and integrated switch mechanisms. This included close collaboration with the Schneider design team to achieve a viable solution within tight size constraints.

The Schneider relationship is yet another example of D+I's expertise in working with great Australian companies to produce world leading advances in everyday technology.

Unbelievably customisable.

Personalisation and customisation is more important today than ever before. With rising consumer expectations, home owners and renovators need to be able to update and evolve their switches with ease. Thanks to clever design this is possible with Clipsal Iconic which features a range of fully customisable grids and skins.

Customers also have the option to personalise switches with icon dollies to make it easy to identify functions in multi-gang switches. As a result, consumers never need to worry about turning on the light instead of the fan.

Safety First

Innovative protective flaps help prevent screw access after installation, allowing skins to be changed safely at any time without the need for an electrician. A message on the protective flaps clearly indicates they should only be opened by certified electricians.

All Clipsal Iconic™ sockets include safety shutters to help prevent the insertion of foreign objects in the socket apertures and a green indicator clearly shows when the power is ON.
